Beowulf & Grendel, ok to make the time go by but otherwise pretty bad.
It's Ok, the making of on the DVD is fascinating - you do mean the live-action Gerard Butler one, yeah, not the CGI one? Cool. That's good too, though.
It was the one from 2005 with Stellan Skarsgård as Rothgar.
The animated one was cool.
Watched 3 Steven Hawkings documentaries last night about the universe, they were really good.

Saw The King's Speech! Excellent!

Mr Rush was amazing actor, (he is Australian I think? May be wrong). But the only drawback was that I expected him to turn and ask what they had done with his ship (Pirates of Caribbean for them as don't know).
Mr Firth was excellent and must have suffered for his art cos my throat ached for him when he started stuttering.
Miss Bonham-Carter was excellent as the young Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mum). God knows who made that wig but it was spot on for the time! Just like the Queen Mum as a young woman! Spooky.

The bit where the King swears had us all laughing and the bit where he recalls the abuse by his nanny had us reachoing for the tissues! Some guy behind me said "Poor Sod!" loud enough to be heard and no one shushed him.

Great British Film, one for all the family. If Mr F doesn't get an oscar there is no justice in the world!
