I think you have to be a 4th generation New York Jew to get Mr Allen completely. Being a lapsed catholic myself helps a lot with the angst/guilt side of it but a lot of it must go over the top of my head

I think Hannah and her Sisters is about the most 'accessible' of his movies but Annie Hall's not too weird and is the most iconic of his early career (pre Mia Farrow).
I do like Play it again Sam as well but I adore Bogart movies so that helped of course.

Mama Mia - great corny movie and I bawled my eyes when Meryl sang Winner takes it all!

I never could get into Woody Allen movies.

I've been watching the second season of Dead Like Me. It's a great show! Very funny! And, thankfully, not addicting like Heroes or Lost.

Just watched Rec, an above par Spanish zombie film that wasn't too frightening except I did nearly have an accident in the last 5 minutes

One question - did anyone in a horror film ever go up into a loft and there wasn't something dreadful up there? Do the monsters know this? Is that why they lie in wait instead of joining in the carnage downstairs?

Woolworths was closing down :( but they were selling DVDs off for £1 each. I got a few including Fantastic 4, which I watched yesterday. Pretty good! And great to see a Cardiff lad doing so well.
