Talking of TV series (and breaking up the red and black  ) I got the DVD box set of Firefly in the mail this morning. I saw this on DVD when I was up in Shetland a few years back and loved it. I also found a copy of the movie - Serenity at a car-boot sale recently. So that's my viewing sorted for a while. ;)

I've still got the unopened box set of 'The Water Margin' which I'm afraid to watch in case it isn't as good as I remember from all those years ago. I will get around to it soon and let you know. ;)
I loved that series! Did you watch Monkey as well?

Oh yes, I know that disappointment of a series not living up to how you remember it. I hope Water Margin can cope with the memories. Let us know if it does Penfold because I have looked at the DVD set a few times and not bought it just in case.

I did indeed, but unlike most of my friends I prefered the Water Margin. I'm guessing that its because I watched it before Monkey whereas it was the other way 'round for my friends.

I'll definitely let you know. I've got three days off next week (ten hour shifts again) so hopefully I can find time on what will probably be a rainy day.

I watched RED last night (with Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren). One of the better 'shoot-em up' comedy action films, I thought, especially with Helen Mirren lending it a touch of class. ;)

I think the last move that i saw was The Signs by M. Night Shyamalan featuring himself (in some scenes) and Mel Gibson.

i thought it was pretty good, and had a good ending with some good effects.

Saw Little Fockers! Crap movie! Worst of this decade so far :)

Honestly, I quite liked Meet the Parents and I could just about tolerate Meet the Fockers. But this movie was plain awful. No heart, just bad joke after bad joke.
