I think the last move that i saw was The Signs by M. Night Shyamalan featuring himself (in some scenes) and Mel Gibson.

i thought it was pretty good, and had a good ending with some good effects.
The director, M Night Shyamalan features himself to some degree in most of his films.

I saw Signs in the cinema when it came out. Sorry to disagree with you, but I thought it was an awful movie.
I don't love it as much either - my favourite of Shyamalan's films have to be Unbreakable and Lady in the Water, though everyone usually says Sixth sense and they hate Lady...

Yesterday I finally watch Black Swan. Genius film, glad she got the BAFTA. I coleague of mine found it boring????

Also wow Tony you have a Firefly quote on your signature already!

I saw Burleseque (?) last night.... now as a movie it was okay... but then Christina has an amazing voice.... but people.... thats not burlesque.... thats cabaret. So that was disappointing. Showing real burlesque would have been a GOOD thing.... showing people the art form it is.... unfortunately people who believe movies are for real (zips lips) will think this is what it is.

Yeah...I've seen bits at work, can't beleive the two biggest Burlesque films of reccent years have been Make it Happen - a PG and Burlesque - 12A. They seem so tame.

My missus loves dance films so I was surprised she didn't drag me to it, Ithink she's waiting for DVD to spring it on me..... o_O

But REAL burlesque has costumes with up to 15 pieces that come off.... its not stripping and its not cabaret!!!!!

Having said that its still a movie.... not the world's greatest ... but not bad... its just a movie. More singing than dancing.

I'm very much in two minds about trying to watch Bones. I have never actually seen the show, but I'm a huge fan of Kathy Reichs' books and from what I can tell, the show is completely different.. o_O

Never read the books, thoughall charity shops seem haunted by them...

I sarted watching for David Borenaz (everyone here knows I'm a Whedonverse fan :) )

I's really good from the off and kicks to a whole new level in Season 3 with the inroduction of more psychology, bringing in the character of Sweets + Stephen Fry's occasional cameos

With regard to Bones.

I love the books, and in the back of one of them, there's a bit from KR explaining that the television show is set before Tempe gets the job in Canada where the books are based.

There is some stuff left out of the TV show. In the books, Tempe is divorced from husband Pete.

She and Pete had a dog an a cat, and he kept the dog, she the cat. When Pete's away on business, she looks after the dog, and the reverse if she's away.

In the TV show, we've met Pete (briefly in S1), but there are no pets, and for some reason, Pete & Tempe's daughter does not exist in the TV show either!

Yes, but my understanding is that Tempe is middle-aged in the books, but young in the TV show even though the TV show is set in a contemporary time frame.

And Bird, the cat is a great favourite of mine.
