Yesterday, in my pick-a-random-unseen-movie-quest, I got 'Fred Claus'.

Synopsis: Fred Claus, Santa's bitter older brother, is forced to move to the North Pole.

Star: Vince Vaughn.

That should be enough info :)

It also starred Paul Giamatti, Kathy Bates, Miranda Richardson, Kevin Spacey and one of my favourites, John Michael Higgins. It was slightly better than expected even. Still pretty crappy, although not as bad a Christmas movie as 'Elf'. Really couldn't stand that one.

Next up: This Christmas. A Christmastime drama centered around the Whitfield family's first holiday together in four years.
I hope this project will result in me being a bit more picky :)
I love Elf!

Haven't seen Fred Claus but heard it was bad, glad you liekd it, may give it a go in 9 months time. :)

excellent. Another Python fan. I'll restrain myself from my usual long quotes
I only recently discovered them conciously. Before that I had no idea what Monty Python is.

Which reminds me, I recently also watched the first episode of Fliegender Zirkus (the show for German TV) with John Cleese as little red riding hood.

Saw [REC} just now, Spanish zombie movie. No subtitles so I might have missed some exposition but not that much since, as said, it's a zombie movie :)

It was very good actually and often genuinely creepy.

I've got Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog on now :)

Oooh, it was reeeally good  I didn't bother with the American remake, especially as they showed the last scene in the trailer. Talk about ruining the film for a cheap thrill.

Sorry, I have only seen the remake, thought it was good, eager to see the original and it's sequel, though. :)

The past week I've been going through my League of Gentlemen collection - currently on the Christmas Special.

Was thinking how goot Mark Gatiss would be as Vetinari (all the League are good with old age make up, but it wouldn't need much),Steve Pemberton is already Drumnkott, wonder if they'll keep him? Was he good, I have Going Postal but not cracked it open yet, waiting till I get CoM to watch the three in a row.

To complete the set, Reece Sheersmith could make a good Nobby

I do that.... start to wonder about my sanity at times when it comes to DW.... nicely watching a good movie or series and think... "Ohhhh! HE would be PERFECT for Vetinari!!!!"

Then again I taped one Startrek episode once strictly for the design of the house in it.

I'm currently watching the BBC's adaptation of Day of the Triffids on BT Vision.
Is that the recent version or the 1980s version?
Sorry, the recent version starring a rather brilliantly nasty Eddie Izzard.
I watched that, but oddly enough I have very little memory of it. Where as I can remember much more about the 80s series.
