What have you seen recently?

Saw Sucker Punch yesterday. It was better than expected. Sure, the story didn't add up to much but the visuals were spectacular. I get the problems that reviewers had and it's certainly no masterpiece, but just sit back and enjoy the ride

Decided I'd get a full pass to the cinema too, it cost just over the price of 2 tickets so I'm planning to go more often in the coming months.

I think it's a film I could watch loads by skipping to the action scenes, when I was young my brother and I made a compilation tape just of action. Used to do it with horror too, just slip to the killings!

Action and soundtrack are what stand out, see my comments above -

the tricky thing is that Source Code is a way better film but Sucker Punch has some outstanding effects that have to be seen on the big screen. Seriously. There are 4 action scenes, all unique and gorgeous.

So if you can, see both, preferable with Sucker Punch on a big Digital screen, at our cinema we have on in a smaller screen that Source Code all day, but we also have it in the eveings in the biggest digital, bigger than Source Code.

Still not sure about scream 4 but your Highness looks great. Saw killing Bono which was awful. They didn't kill Bono so i was dissapointed.

(No doubt many will disagree, but to me Whispering Bob Harris was a fantastic master of understated presenting.)

I remember it well. The British Interplanetary Society were, at the time working on a rocket that was powered by tea. The experimented and called the program the Earl Grey Missile Test.

Whispering Bob was in a class of his own listening to him was being back to sanity in tv music programmes.

I finally saw 127 Hours yesterday. Powerful stuff and pretty dynamic for a film about a guy who's stuck. Not a comfortable watch though - loads of 'looking away' moments.

I managed to watch it without looking away - in the cinema we had quite a few through ups, and faintings.
