You know that feeling when you read the stories, you know the various official artworks, but you can't help but imagine the characters completely different?
And then, by chance, you stumble upon picture of people you can't have seen before and think:
Dear heavens, that's (insert character name here)!
TMOH recently posted this over on tumblr( Well, one photo from there, which was TMOH's headcanon for Ted Flutter) and I 'regonised' som faces.
(In order of appeareance in canon)
Victor (and Moist without the beard and a slightly different haircut)
William deWorde
Stanley
Juliet
Glenda
Trevor
Andy

And those are only the finds from that side (also had the Bursar somewhere on there, but hells if I'd find that one again)

Did something familiar ever happen to you? Share your pictures.

Personally I think of all the characters looking different to them, but have you notices that nobody on that list is very tall? Most of the younger people are 4'11".

Oh hellfire and damnation, I had a picture on my old laptop of a random chap who caught my eye because he looked EXACTLY like how I imagined Carrot! He was a rugby player, tall and broad-chested, with this wonderfully open, clean sort of face and this nice-but-slightly-bland smile. But that laptop died tragically and I lost all my files and things! If I can remember where I saw the picture I'll post it.

Hey there! You seem to be talking about me...

This is the guy I was picturing for Ted. (I actually found that website before Snuff came out--I'd been looking for 19th century working-class clothes reference so I could draw some other Discworld characters--and I'd scrolled through the pictures so many times that his face was readily available for me to fill in for Mr Flutter.)
