For clear insight and hope despite seeming hopelessness, Death.
For bawdy sense of humour (sometimes), Nanny Ogg.
For idealism, Magrat.
For scatterbrained intelligence Ponder Stibbons.
For the 'why me' days when everything seems to be going wrong - Rincewind.
