I think it might have been Mr Tulip's death in The Truth that did it for me actually. I read all the books very out of order. Cuddy's death in Men at Arms also was a hard one to take, as well as Anghamerad's death in going postal. that one had me in tears.

Hmm... I can't remember the first death, but I certainly remember Brutha's death (and what happened afterwards - which was simply Brutha being Brutha). :) It was so much like him to do what he did after he died (and I'm trying not to spoil it, for those of you who haven't read Small Gods yet!) :)
