I think it might have been Mr Tulip's death in The Truth that did it for me actually. I read all the books very out of order. Cuddy's death in Men at Arms also was a hard one to take, as well as Anghamerad's death in going postal. that one had me in tears.

Hmm... I can't remember the first death, but I certainly remember Brutha's death (and what happened afterwards - which was simply Brutha being Brutha). It was so much like him to do what he did after he died (and I'm trying not to spoil it, for those of you who haven't read Small Gods yet!)
