Unfortunately, the poll only allows for ten options so I decided to leave out Paul McGann who, although listed as the 8th Doctor, only appeared in the tv movie (as well as in other media). For the same reason, I left out Peter Cushing who only appeared in the films. Have fun!

I have allowed for THREE VOTES PER PERSON to give a wider spread.

Pretty obvious which three I went for to get the thread going. I grew up with Jon Pertwee as my first Doctor but only really got into it during the Tom Baker years. Christopher Ecclestone had a dark side to his character that I really liked.

I decided to cast only one vote: Sylvester McCoy.
Don't you mean...?

Anyway, what's wrong with me having a favourite who isn't Tom Baker or David Tennant? :p In the last two seasons of the classic series, Sylvester McCoy was the best.

Don't believe me? Well, first, here's the trailer for one of his best stories, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy...

...and here, from that very story (I can't embed it because I deliberately got the link to link to the time where it starts) is Sylvester McCoy walking away from an explosion that was bigger and closer than he expected, and he barely flinches.

Yes, I think Sylvester McCoy's final two seasons were very good. :)

I tried to upload one of my favourite scenes with the 7th Doctor to YouTube, but it got blocked. It's the scene in Remembrance Of The Daleks when he's discussing cause and effect with the guy in the cafe on the eve of the final stages of his Cunning Plan. It's nice to see him really thinking about what he's doing... :)

I went for Jon Pertwee - cos he was my 1st Doctor, Tom Baker cos he's the one I remember most and, finally, Matt Smith.
