^Does look good.

Thanks for comments. I think the same. I was quite excited when my friend sent me the link. I wouldn't have guessed it was WWZ if it didn't say, which is disappointing, but I'll still go watch it. I like the visuals of the sheer scale of the thing.

My face represented by smilies watching trailer  :) :x   :snooty: :| :). It was a busy 2 minutes for my face.
ZACTLY!

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Zombies dont run!!!!!! The whole point of the thing is that they COME... and they COME and they COME.... slowly maybe, and you can have all the time in the world to prepare..... but they KEEP COMING.

I have seen an excellent Zombie movie where they moved with scarey lightning speed.... and it was great...

Dead Snow (A Norwegian film)

but COME ON!!!! Max Brooks goes to very long lengths to explain in his Zombie Survival Guide how he was obsessed with them since he was a child and how it took him years to formulate HOW zombies operated and HOW to survive them.

As my teen says..... its about HOW to survive when they are so slow.

I totally agree... this should have been done in mockumentary form like the book. The only thing this has in common with the book is the name.

I am cheesed off. I am the one who always says to everyone else.... never compare a book and a movie... just enjoy them for what they are and as different art forms in a different medium. BUT THIS IS TOTALLY NOTHING LIKE THE BOOK !

Looks good though.... but still....

OH !!!!!... and heres the final word from the man himself... Max Brooks on fast V slow zombies.

No WONDER they are running so fast from the fast zombies ;)

Max Brooks didn't actually invent zombies you know :p Without my earphones I can't tell what his thoughts are, but if he's allowed a film to be made with this name that has fast zombies in it, presumably he doesn't care? Or he cares more about the money at least.

Real zombies don't eat human flesh. So, real zombies are boring. I'm happy for zombies to run, until their leg muscles rot, then they can shuffle along.

That looks ok Del. Amazing scenery. The last Norwegian film I saw was Trollhunter. I liked that very much, incredible landscape in that as well.

I prefer zombies as lurchers but I don't really mind. Dead Set & the 28 Days movies are a particular favourite. I also saw a French (?) zombies vs. cops flick recently called The Horde, which was really good. The zombies in that were quick on their feet.

I think George Romero would be the only director for Max Brooks. He would get the sub-plot & satire etc.

Max Brooks on Fast V Slow zombies (since you dont have your headphones)

"Slow zombies are a wonderful metaphor for the anxiety of human mortality....and fast zombies are gay.

REAL zombies huh Dots?  Ohhhhhhh didnt realise you were referring to REAL zombies. :p

Yeah me and the daughters get into VERY indepth arguements about zombies.... Been a fan here for a bit of a long time. Did the Brisbane Zombie Walk last year (was working this year). Worlds largest zombie walk! Oh yeah!

I am not arguing that the movie is going to be AMAZING! Just stumped as to why Brooks agreed to this massive change.

Still....... cant wait for it to come out! Excitement!

Australia (particularly Queensland) is well set to survive zombies... with all our stilt houses.

Did you see The Horde on SBS Jenn? SBS (our wonderful government run foreign language TV station) are showing horror movies on Friday or Saturday nights every week (fairly late). Have mainly seen Korean and Japanese ones so far. I havent seen Dead Set yet.

:p As in, the idea in some cultures that corpses can be revived using witchcraft, and put to work. Smartypants.

Why would max Brooks allow the title "World War Z" to be used for a film about gay zombies? Have a little integrity, man! Now I want all my zombies to be runners, or better yet, let's go back the wings idea. Fly my beauties, fly! Mwhahahahahaha!

Reg & Baron Saturday are great non-flesh eating zombies.

Flying zombies eh? Brings a whole new reason why you need to keep your mouth closed when you look up.

Del, you should watch Dead Set. I'm sure you'd like it, even though the zombies aren't traditional & are runners. I did see The Horde on SBS.
