World's Greatest Sci Fi Film Ever - Nominations

My choice isn't a movie - Firefly. Serenity is the Firefly movie, but I can't say it's the best ever even if I love it.
I don't think the greatest sci-fi movie has been made yet, as I mentioned somewhere before. I think the genre is still wide open for true greatness, but topping my list at the moment is

Mad Max
A Space Odyssey
Inception
Close Encounters

I've tallied up the nominations and compiled the 'final' voting round which can be found HERE.
@Mongo: Although your nominations came after the cut off deadline, I did use them to try to eliminate some of the films that scored only four nominations to create a smaller final (a tie-breaker, so to speak). Unfortunately, it didn't work.
