Why are people getting their knickers in a bunch about others disagreeing with their opinion?

You're all wrong! Completely and utterly wrong! But that's just my opinion.

Plus it was far better than Independence Day which came out about the same time and was about the same thing.
I quite liked Independence Day, mostly because there was Will Smith, but it also had some scenes that were exactly like in the anime Fushigi no umi no Nadia (or The secret of Blue Water). Like the scene where the big alien ship covers the sky.. exactly the same

I must admit that Mars Attacks and Buffy the Vampire Slayer fall into the 'so bad they're good' category for me :)

One of the worst films for me has to be The Queen of the Damned, there's virtually no plot and seems to be little more than a glorified music video. It's all the more frustrating because the book is much more detailed and complex and I'd been looking forward to seeing a film version.

Buffy the series is good, granted (last season got a bit weird, though), but the movie?

Queen of the Damned - wouldn't call it one of the worst I've ever seen, but it's definitely understandable one thinks so, especially if they've read the book (I myself can't really watch and enjoy films I've read the books of before - exceptions being Timeline and partly LotR).

Titanic.

And I can't count it, because I've not seen it, so can't form an opinion, but Can Heironymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness? is generally considered pretty dire. I hope one day to find out.

Heartless????? Okay... you know how SOME people on this forum kind of like the DW books and rage and whirl when one is translated into a movie where things are not quite right?........

I fell in love with the Titanic story when I was about 8... and had a passion for it ever since. Rather obsessed you might say.... Starting work and getting money let me find and buy books most people didn't have or know about. I had transcripts from the New York and the UK court cases. (Copies) Did you know a whole new form of pschoanalysis on memory and perception was begun because SO many survivors related the whole night in such differing accounts?

The day they broadcast images of the sunken Titanic was equal to me like man walking on the moon..... FINALLY we would learn if she had broken in two or gone down in one piece! (Had to wait ages for that!)

Bloody stupid movie! Heartless my arse! :p

Okay okay if you view it as JUST a movie about a boat.....
