He's having a bit of trouble paddling against the tide huh?

"Hurry up Reg! Paddle harder!"
"I'm TRYING! Oh! I'm going backwards.... Stan I said I 'm going backwards! Are you sure I'm supposed to have a STICK? Do we have an oar? ... I saw this film once....!"
"Oh for gods sake! Turn the boat around and we will film you paddling back the other way!"
"Stan! Stan! I'm being swept away Stan! The current is really strong here Stan! Stan? Hellloooooooooo! Can someone send out the support boat?

"Vince! Pull your loin skirt back up around your armpits! This is a FAMILY movie!" And KEEP your knees together when you sit on those poles!"

Ohhhhhhhhh... and just when it was getting interesting..... Bugger!

So bad they are hilarious....

Most have heard of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" amd some other films are so bad they have their own entertainment value...

My personal list includes"
A Polish Vampire in Burbank http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089823/
Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096142/
Machine Girl http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1050160/
Rubber http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1612774/
Sorceress http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086340/
(You have to admire the chutzpah of a viking with a beard of obviously red yarn. This was made back with being Penthouse Playmate of the Year included a movie roll. And a good example of why this was a bad idea.)

The movies we viewed on submarines back in the 80s gave a true appreciation for "bad cinema". We even rated them with the "fist scale" as in watching felt like you were gagging with how many fists shoved in your throat.

What really stymies me is that Hollywood actually remakes movies that were disgustingly bad and worthless. Two come to mind that were a waste of money when viewed on the one dollar Tuesday matinee... "The Fog" and "The Hills Have Eyes"... both were thorough turkeys in the original and worse with high sFX remakes.

I dunno whether I am allowed to include crappy television programs, but I have watched, albeit voluntarily and recently, two of the worst Doctor Who serials ever to be done: The Ark and Four to Doomsday. Admittedly, it was the first time I had ever watched either of them. It will also probably be the last.

The DVD trailers are much better than the stories themselves. Here's the one for The Ark and another for Four to Doomsday...

Actually, I've had an idea for a thread... :)

I thought "The Ark" had some good ideas, but that the execution was poor.

Agreed. And Four to Doomsday royally screwed over the scripting of the regular cast, and their performances didn't help at all. The Doctor was patronising and abrupt to his companions, Adric was misogynistic and stupid, and Tegan was reduced to a sobbing histrionic. *sigh* And other elements of that story, while nice, didn't quite work.

Again, not a movie, but I recently watched another Doctor Who to add to the 'abysmal' pile: The Twin Dilemma. I tried to watch it without prejudice, and hoped that its reputation as the worst Doctor Who ever was hyperbole from pissed fans. I was pretty much wrong. Not the worst story ever, but it pretty much ties with every other bad story I've watched.
