Hello all,
A couple of us have hijacked our amateur theatre group, Laughing Monkey, to bring 'Wyrd Sisters' to the Norwich Puppet Theatre on Friday October 8th & Saturday October 9th. Anyone in the area come and give us a look -- details below.
They say that through the fathomless depths of the universe there swims a great star turtle which they say bears on it’s back four giant elephants, and upon their shoulders lies the great flat world of the Discworld, or so they say...
They say that on this world there exists a tiny kingdom called Lancre, the sort of place where mighty kings still heed the advice of witches, (if they know what’s good for ‘em, which generally they don’t) And they say that on a night as black as the inside of a cat three such wyrd sisters met on quite a blasted heath and in their hands lay the destinies of a King, a Fool and a Duke, or so they say, but people ought to be careful what they say, as words have power, or so witches would say, but then, they would...
So come join us fair audience in our merrie and tradgik Play-“all thee Dysk’s a stage”- so they say- and this has got nothing to with a certain Scottish play at all, okay? So just don’t mention it...
